$ echo "hello world...from a blog?!"

A blog, in 2026?!

Well, yes! And I'm pretty sure this topic is well discussed by a lot of people.
But first let's take a step back, what's a blog?

The word comes from "web log", the act of logging content (which means any type of content in not-so-recent years) somewhere, in the vast world of the www.

Sure, with the spread of social networks the activity of blogging has slowed down but never really faded away.
The algorithms behind social networks get faster, better and evilest more time consuming for the poor people doomscrolling during free time.

But now the same people (me, you, anyone else reading HN) realized how much that time could be better spent.
For the tech world (but not only) that means prefer slower, deeper, more meaningful lecture about the endless topics all around us (AI now days).

Recently I realized that for me the most relevant content from Hacker News comes from people's blogs.
Free, well maintained and even professional articles that one put out just to share with the world his idea or experience hoping to reach people who are interested in the same topic.

Also well known people from YouTube need to share in written format (see Jeff Geerling or Techno Tim), making their content even more available.

And maybe that's exactly the point.
Write it down, especially about what you love, encourages you to do your best and it catches your thoughts.

This blog will be mine rubber duck, or at least that is the purpose now.

My intentions are way simpler comparse to the above cites, something that won't be big and professional (cit.) but on the same wave length.
I want to give a voice to my thoughts and use the excuse of "I could write a post about this" to finally experiment that idea of mine.

So basically tinkering, aloud.

I have already some ideas about next posts focusing on homelab and selfhosting, so we'll see!

If you may get involved, support this introduction how you can and being the post itself is baked from a (selfhosted) Ghost instance (ouch, minor spoiler!) you could also sign up!
